Ingredients

  • 2 cups of milk (or milk alternative)

  • 2 tea bags – black tea (not chai) recommended

  • 3/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger

  • 1/8 teaspoon of ground cloves

  • 3 tablespoons of maple syrup (or other sweetener)

Directions

  • Heat milk in a saucepan over medium-high heat until it begins to bubble.
  • Turn off the heat and add the tea bags and allow to steep for 3-5 minutes then remove the tea bags.
  • Turn on the heat again, but set to medium heat.
  • Add the cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and maple syrup then whisk to combine until piping hot.
  • Adjust spices to taste and enjoy!
  • Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to four days and can be served cold over ice or reheated if desired.
